Blood Star Halo creates densely packed bludgeoning soundscapes that boil over with the bone-crunching power of hard-core metal and stings with the anarchy of punk rock. Since its brutal inception in 2002, the band has been delivering its musical carnage with unrelenting energy live throughout the United States. In addition to the bands chaotic national schedule, Blood Star Halo continues to tour locally in Southern California, Nevada, Arizona and the Northwest.
In the spring of 2004, their heavily anticipated debut CD was unleashed. Entitled “Incendium Infernum”, this full length production of heated and catchy tunes quickly gained enthusiastic fans and rave reviews. This collection of skinless lyrics, swaying rhythms, and jabbing beats was soon followed by the 2005 release of the “My Disorder” EP.
Blood Star Halo was conceived in the spring of 2002 from the fiery imagination of lead vocalist Dust Devil. He soon recruited his brother Nine Bones (bass guitar) and life time friend Ash Haze (lead guitar). The group was finally complete in mid-2002 with the addition of Diesel on drums/percussion. This line-up remained unchanged until 2006 with the replacement of Ash Haze on Lead Guitar with Thorne, from the Detroit band “A Torn Dilemma”.
Blood Star Halo paints a fantastic musical portrait featuring a monstrous cacophony of twisting guitars, smashing percussion, and aggressive grooves. With influences such as Slayer, Sepultura, Ministry, White Zombie, and NIN, blended along with contemporary sounds and production techniques, the band creates an original mix of bleeding melodies with a heavy solid crunch.
At this time, the band plans a spring 2008 release of an as yet untitled self-produced CD. This production of primal fury and primitive cool will be recorded at Black Door Studios in Burbank California.
